QMLP completed a fuel tank replacement involving installation of a steel 10,000 Litre AST and removal and disposal of an existing fiberglass 9,092 Litre UST at a Toronto Treatment Plant.

The scope of work included the following:

• Construct a concrete base for the new AST, install and connect the new AST to the existing border fuel pump system including all associated civil and electrical work, piping and monitoring devices;
• Perform all piping and valve testing, commission the new AST system, and provide a TSSA inspection;
• Removal and disposal of an existing 9,092 Litre fiberglass UST, removal of all former piping connected to the existing boiler fuel pump system, segregation and disposal of clean overburden and contaminated soils, and site restoration;
• Contract also included engaging an independent third party environmental engineer, registered with the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, to conduct a soil investigation and report documenting the removal of the former UST on behalf of the client.
