Scope of Training

This course is designed for individuals involved in shipping, receiving or transporting dangerous goods or who may be required to respond to incidents involving dangerous goods. Upon completion of the course, individuals will be certified for purposes of compliance and safety under the applicable portions of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations. If working within Canada, certification is valid for three years.

• Understand responsibilities of shippers, carriers, consignees, and handlers under the TDGR.
• Classification of dangerous goods, system and processes.
• Use of safety marks.
• Shipping documentation.
• Safe handling practices, transportation emergencies.
